Reminders
- Polar Expressions is back again this year and they are looking for students to have the chance to publish poems and short stories in an upcoming book. Information sheets have been sent. Students who are interested in this competition can do so on their own time, as class time will not be given. The deadline for poems is November 29th and the deadline for short stories is December 6th.
- After care invoices have been sent out. All after care payments were due today, yesterday.
- Casual Day forms have been sent home. If you would like your child to participate, please complete the form and send in the $20 cash to me no later than October 25th.
- Winter uniforms started today, Tuesday, October 15th. All students in Grade 4-6 will need to have all pieces of the winter uniform with them everyday. The winter uniform consists of SJA gray pants/skirt, navy blue socks and black dress shoes (which they already have), a white button up long sleeve crested SJA shirt, a navy blue SJA crested sweater/sweater vest, an academic and house colour tie (to be worn every Friday) and an SJA crested blazer. Please be sure to label all pieces! Blazers must be worn during transitions and around the school, but can be taken off while in class and during lunch. If you do not have any of these pieces please contact Alpa as soon as possible at alpa@multiformcanada.com.

Inquiry into Math:
Today we wrote our Unit 2: Whole Numbers Retest. There were a lot of improvements! Please review your child's test with them over the weekend. Well done grade 4s!
We will begin our next unit on Monday, October 21, Unit 6 - Measurement.
A message about Caribou Math from Mrs. Haag:Dear Parents and Students,
The first Caribou contest will be written tomorrow, Wednesday, October 16th at 7:30 am in Room 39. Students must arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the test. They will need their own laptops. They are allowed 60 minutes to complete the test. No calculators are allowed.
Unit of Inquiry:
Students will be given one more day to prepare their summative projects as I will be away on Monday coaching the Gr. 4-6 Tournament Soccer Team. Please ensure that your child brings all necessary materials with them to school on Monday so that they can add the final touches to their project.
