All About Me

My name is Nicole Samuel and I am one of the Grade 4 teachers for this upcoming school year. I have been a teacher at SJA since January 2018 and this will be my third-year teaching Grade 4.

I am a graduate of Central Michigan University Elementary Education Program and an Alum of the CMU Women’s Soccer Team.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy being physically active (soccer is my favourite sport, go Manchester United!), watching movies, working on "do it yourself" crafts, and spending time with my family. I can hardly wait to get to know all of you!

Our evening performance will begin at 6:30 pm, with doors opening at 6:15 pm. Seating is on a first come first serve basis.  Please keep in mind that outside food and drinks are not permitted in the Dome.

For our evening performance, families are welcome to take our shuttle from St. Jude’s to the Dome and back. Shuttles will begin running from 6:00-7:00 pm.

We encourage all families to come bundled up to stay warm and cozy for the entire show. The students and teachers have put a tremendous amount of work into their performances and kindly ask that all families stay and enjoy the show until the end.

Unit of Inquiry:

Today we began learning about Judaism. We learned that the sacred text is called a Torah. The founder of Judaism is Abraham. Jewish teachings are practiced in a synogogue.

We had a very big discussion about why Jewish people were put into gas chambers a long time ago. We talked about why this happened. The class was very caring and were able to understand how serious the topic was. If your child has further questions about the topic, please let me know, or continue the conversation at home.

We also watched a short video about the reasons why people enjoy being Jewish:

French - Please check Mme. Stella's blog under specialist links.
Physical Education- Please check Mr. Orr's blog under specialist links.
