As we get started to begin our next unit of inquiry, How the world works - light and sound, I decided to have the class find some research about an invention, of their choice, in light or sound. With this research the students will practice writing a report on their chosen invention.
Tomorrow we will be breaking down our reports into paragraphs and mapping out our expectations for writing a good report.
1. Copy your spelling words into your agendas in cursive
2. Define your bonus words
3. Complete spelling lesson activities
4. Hand in completed spelling activities on Wednesdays
5. Study for spelling tests nightly
How do I know if I know my spelling words? Well, can you use them in a sentence? Can you define the word to someone else? Do you know other words that have the same meanings (synonyms)? Do you know words that mean the opposite?
